Positive pressure system
with UVC light sources

Air enters the house through purpose-built chimneys located on the roof, where advanced UVC light sources are installed within a durable steel duct. This innovative design creates a slight positive pressure in the house, facilitating effective ventilation and ensuring that all incoming air is exclusively sourced through the chimneys.

Several critical factors, including air temperature and velocity, are carefully evaluated to determine the optimal dimensions of the UVC light sources. This assessment guarantees that viruses are subjected to adequate exposure to the powerful UVC radiation needed for their effective degradation. The UVC light works effectively by penetrating the cells of viruses, ultimately damaging their DNA and neutralizing their harmful effects. This advanced system is provided by SKOV in collaboration with an external partner, ensuring that the highest standards of air quality and safety standards are achieved in the livestock house.

Benefits:

  • All incoming air is exclusively sourced through the chimneys
  • Is used in ventilation systems with DA 1540 ceiling inlets, Combi-Diffuse, or Diffuse air intake
  • Ensures viruses are effectively degraded by powerful UVC radiation, damaging their DNA and neutralizing their harmful effects
